i know i link to tom dispatch a great deal but thats because theyre good reads

the above is a neat comparison between the treatment received by the whistleblower snowden and some obscure torturer i had never heard of

in other more national news it looks like both sides of politics are desperately trying to outdo each-other in harsh treatment of refugees. i'd love to go on and on about how thats probably bad but i dont feel like id have anything new to say
